Make a folder named "PS3" in the root of the USB device. Under the "PS3" folder, make a folder named "UPDATE". Place the PUP file under "UPDATE" and name it "PS3UPDAT.PUP". EVERYTHING MUST BE CAPITALIZED! Plug the USB device into the right-hand USB slot (the one closest to the disc drive). On the XMB, goto "System Update".

If you are already on PS3 CFW, updating is a breeze, you just need to install the new CFW PUP file via the official USB Method and you will be on Evilnat's latest release.
