At $69.95 per line they're a bargain in today's fly line world. As to the line handling bigger dry flies: leader length and taper are more likely to determine how the fly turns over on a river 25' wide than any modern fly line designed for a 3 weight.
Having been a passionate fly tyer and deer hunter for the best part of my life, It became a natural progression for me to embrace the material these animals have provided me with over the years and learn everything I could about their different qualities and applications within fly tying. Deer...
At the end of the day any boat is a compromise. That being said, I just got a new Kodiak with the Fly Fishing Show discount to replace my 20+ year old Water Master with the updated Kodiak design. The fly keeps a large profile and pulsates a bit in the water, whereas flashabou tends to clump into a very narrow profile in the water unless you go full prom dress style. Not saying one is better than the other, but just know that there is a meaningful difference in how the fly looks and swims underwater.
