The undisputed WWE championship is back in Drew McIntyre's possession after he beat Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on Friday Night SmackDown.
Some of WWE's all-time greats such as Steve Austin, Triple H, and John Cena (and Ryback) have competed in the Three Stages of Hell match.
WWE SmackDown airs live from Berlin on Jan. 9 with a Three Stages of Hell main event and potential surprises. Here's the full card.
The final stage was a steel cage match, and that's when Jacob Fatu made his return. Fatu initially attacked McIntyre, but he went after "The American Nightmare" as well. While Fatu was ambushing Rhodes, McIntyre slipped out the door to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
The match will take place during the December 9, 2026, episode of SmackDown, which will emanate live from Berlin, Germany. Another request mandated by McIntyre, who doesn't want his next title shot to happen in Rhodes' home country. It will be the first time a Three Stages of Hell match has taken place outside of a PLE.
